Why I work at OnSite Wellness:

I believe we’re meant to learn from each other, develop a strong sense of community, and love on each other. OnSite’s version of corporate wellness provides me the opportunity to do this while also allowing me to express a high level of creativity. I absolutely love it.

My Passions:

I’m a science geek on the side, especially when it comes to astronomy and astrophysics. I also love spending time with my little family and finding any way I can get creative.

Fun Fact:

I took first place in my county’s 45 pound wrestling weight class when I was 4.

My Passions:

I live outside in my backyard during the summer months. Sunshine, water, friends and laughter…can’t get better than that. Volleyball is my sport, but don’t ask me to play at your backyard picnic.

I’m obsessed with every “Real Housewives” show on Bravo TV. Yup, I’m a reality TV junkie!

I grew up on a farm and would show pigs, goats, lambs, rabbits and steers at the local fair every summer- I have ribbons and trophies to prove it.

I care about what I eat so I turned it into a profession. Larger companies might restrict a Dietitian’s role in preventive wellness, but OnSite Wellness encourages me to be creative in my practice.

My Passions:

Volleyball, hiking, walking my dog Bentley and cooking. Put me anywhere near a lake with some good food and good company and I am content.

Fun Fact:

I entered my first and last beauty pageant at 13 years old. I played the Flintstone’s theme song on my clarinet for the talent portion. I did not win the pageant.

Why I work at OnSite Wellness:

I’m all about the people. If I can play even a small role in helping someone live their best life then I am all for it. I haven’t always lived the healthiest lifestyle so I know how important it is to try our best to do this. I may be the “Health Coach,” but so often I leave being the one that is inspired by those I interact with.

My Passions:

Sports: watching, playing, or looking up stats. Craft beer: Living in Beer City, USA has taught me a thing or two about its inclusive community. Try new things, have good conversations, and enjoy life – not all that different than what I believe wellness should be.

Fun Fact:

I was part of the swim team in middle school where I was part of setting a school record. However, no one would know it was me because my last name is spelled wrong on the record board and I never cared to correct it.

Why I work at OnSite Wellness:

With over 17 years’ experience in the wellness profession, I’ve worn many hats (many of them at the same time) including health coach, personal trainer, corporate wellness coordinator, and ergonomics specialist. I have a degree in exercise science (Calvin University, 2004) and certified as an exercise physiologist, corrective exercise specialist, and performance enhancement specialist.  I look forward to carrying on my passion for driving employee wellness with the incredible OSW team – I’m truly blessed to be joining such a great organization and group of people!

My Passions:

I’m at my best when surrounded by my amazing wife and 2 kids,  and enjoying any outdoor adventure, near or far to our Caledonia home.  When we’re not camping/traveling, golfing, or out on the trails/slopes I can be found in my woodshop working on my next challenging build or sharing time with family and friends.

Fun Fact:

Fun Fact:  I’ve always been an absolute hockey nut. I started playing when I was 5 years old, and still love it to this day.  Many of my favorite memories involve going to NHL games as a kid in my hometown of Calgary, Alberta. I have attended at least one NHL game in 19 different cities/arenas (and counting) – it’s my goal to get to all 32!

Amy & I founded OnSite Wellness with a mission to help people live the best life possible by improving their health habits.  I am amazed and motivated by the stories I hear from participants about the changes that they have made in their lives.

My Passions:

My 7 grandkids, spending time with friends and family, and walking the golf course (mixes two of my joys – walking and competition). But not necessarily in that order!

I used to teach quilting classes.

Amy Ritsema Co-Founder

Amy Ritsema, Co-Founder of OnSite Wellness, lost her battle to ovarian cancer on August 17, 2023.  We are forever grateful to Amy for getting OnSite off and running in 2006 and for her years of business development and relationship building with potential clients, brokers, and current clients.  Amy was instrumental in growing OnSite Wellness from 6 clients to over 100.  She will always be remembered for her quick smile, her laugh and her ability to have fun with whoever she met.  We miss you Amy!
