Part of self-care is practicing awareness with the things you do and why you do them. It is important to ask these questions when thinking about your exercise, food, work, relationships, thoughts, mentality, and medications. Medications? You heard it. It is especially...With over 17 years’ experience in the wellness profession, I’ve worn many hats (many of them at the same time) including health coach, personal trainer, corporate wellness coordinator, and ergonomics specialist. I have a degree in exercise science (Calvin University, 2004) and certified as an exercise physiologist, corrective exercise specialist, and performance enhancement specialist. I look forward to carrying on my passion for driving employee wellness with the incredible OSW team – I’m truly blessed to be joining such a great organization and group of people!
I’m at my best when surrounded by my amazing wife and 2 kids, and enjoying any outdoor adventure, near or far to our Caledonia home. When we’re not camping/traveling, golfing, or out on the trails/slopes I can be found in my woodshop working on my next challenging build or sharing time with family and friends.
Fun Fact: I’ve always been an absolute hockey nut. I started playing when I was 5 years old, and still love it to this day. Many of my favorite memories involve going to NHL games as a kid in my hometown of Calgary, Alberta. I have attended at least one NHL game in 19 different cities/arenas (and counting) – it’s my goal to get to all 32!
I believe that knowledge is power. The more information that one has regarding what it means to be “healthy”, the more equipped they are to make informed decisions regarding their health and wellbeing. Everyone’s journey is different. I just want to help others achieve theirs.
I love sports! Spending time with my wife and our adopted “hound”, family, and friends. Summer is my favorite season and someday I hope to live where it is warm year-round.
My sarcasm is a trait that my wife loves (not sure about anyone else though.)
To share my knowledge and education with people who want to take charge of their health and wellness by giving them the tools to do so.

I am a little quick witted and love to make people smile.
OnSite Wellness and I share similar values. We both want to help people live happier lives by working on their wellness (exciting, right!?!)! I am lucky to be on their team!
I am passionate about a lot of things! The big ones are the relationships I have with family and friends, church/time with the big Man, and time for leisure. Others include exploring GR, reading, and spending too much time at cafes.
I’ve never been a huge fan of cardio; however, I spent my four years of undergrad on the rowing team at Grand Valley. It was a love-hate relationship but I wouldn’t have done it any other way 😉
Because I believe each of us deserves true, whole-person wellness, so that we can thrive and live a fulfilling life. I am doing my part in helping our clients’ see success and transformation within their workplace and in the lives of their employees.
Sundays are for Formula 1! I’ve found a new love and passion for all things motorsports. I also love ballet and take an adult class when I get the chance. Being by the water is my happy place.
English was not my first language. I spoke only Latvian until pre-school, as both sides of my grandparents came to the U.S. as refugees from Latvia. My husband’s family is also Latvian. We practice Latvian traditions and continue to honor our heritage with our kids.
I am passionate about health and wellness and I enjoy empowering people to take ownership of their well-being. OnSite Wellness gives me the opportunity to connect with people and to provide employers with the tools and resources necessary to make a positive difference in their employee’s lives.
Faith, family, friends, and food! I also enjoy being on the water; boating, swimming, paddle boarding, you name it.
I’ve never drank a cup of coffee in my entire life!
To have a positive impact on the overall well being of those we get to work with. Wellness is something that can help people find a well rounded way of living and can create overall happiness for others.
Playing sports (especially volleyball) and watching our kids play them along with spending time with my family.
I spent all of my childhood with an extreme fear of dogs and now would love to own one of my own.
I am passionate about helping others create a balanced and healthy lifestyle while growing sustainable habits. My goal to help others feel informed and empowered to make the right decision for themselves.
My passions include being with family and friends, cooking, gardening, and staying active in fun ways.
One way to help myself destress is walking outside. Fresh air, sunshine, and nature help me to clear my head.
I love talking nutrition and motivating others to achieve their health goals. I enjoy focusing on “real” food ingredients and helping people find balance in the foods they eat.
Spending time with family, traveling, and trying new foods.
I went skydiving with my dad when he turned 50 years old.

Helping others reach their health and wellness goals has always been my thing, and working at OnSite Wellness is the cherry on top of the sundae!
I live outside in my backyard during the summer months. Sunshine, water, friends and laughter…can’t get better than that. Volleyball is my sport, but don’t ask me to play at your backyard picnic.
I’m obsessed with every “Real Housewives” show on Bravo TV. Yup, I’m a reality TV junkie!
Why I work at OnSite Wellness:
Amy & I founded OnSite Wellness with a mission to help people live the best life possible by improving their health habits. I am amazed and motivated by the stories I hear from participants about the changes that they have made in their lives.
My 7 grandkids, spending time with friends and family, and walking the golf course (mixes two of my joys – walking and competition). But not necessarily in that order!
I used to teach quilting classes.
Amy Ritsema, Co-Founder of OnSite Wellness, lost her battle to ovarian cancer on August 17, 2023. We are forever grateful to Amy for getting OnSite off and running in 2006 and for her years of business development and relationship building with potential clients, brokers, and current clients. Amy was instrumental in growing OnSite Wellness from 6 clients to over 100. She will always be remembered for her quick smile, her laugh and her ability to have fun with whoever she met. We miss you Amy!

I’m all about the people. If I can play even a small role in helping someone live their best life then I am all for it. I haven’t always lived the healthiest lifestyle so I know how important it is to try our best to do this. I may be the “Health Coach,” but so often I leave being the one that is inspired by those I interact with.
Sports: watching, playing, or looking up stats. Craft beer: Living in Beer City, USA has taught me a thing or two about its inclusive community. Try new things, have good conversations, and enjoy life – not all that different than what I believe wellness should be.
I was part of the swim team in middle school where I was part of setting a school record. However, no one would know it was me because my last name is spelled wrong on the record board and I never cared to correct it.
I believe in the preventative aspect of health and wellness and aiding individuals to improve their quality of life through sound nutrition. The food that one puts in their body can truly be the best form of medicine. I enjoy that this position allows me the opportunity to educate individuals to be able to successfully navigate all the information regarding food/nutrition to empower them to make sound decisions and live their best life!
Being active and spending time outdoors – running, biking and paddle boarding are at the top of my list! Creating memories through fun experiences with my niece and nephew, beach walks with my dog, cooking from scratch and creating new recipes utilizing new ingredients/spices/etc., and traveling to explore new places with friends.
I lived in Alaska

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing others become confident in their abilities and grow within their own wellness goals. Wellness is not only a journey, but an always learning experience that is meant to be shared.
Anything cardio or in the wilderness is my favorite. Mix that with my family and friends and I’m in my ultimate happy place.
I was a 4x State Champ in the Long Jump in Wisconsin.
The opportunity to connect with others, learn about their journey, and help them develop lasting healthy habits is just one of the reasons I work at OnSite Wellness. The best added bonus is being surrounded and encouraged by fellow health junkie coworkers! Also, I am driven by curiosity so being able to work with a large variety of people keeps me excited and eager for what’s to come.
Learning, continuing to grow personally & professionally, spending time with family & friends, reading, being outdoors, visiting wineries, Whole Foods, plant-based nutrition, helping others and living a healthy lifestyle.
When I was born a birth announcement memo was sent throughout The White House which stated my name, time of birth, height/weight, and congratulated my parents! President Reagan was in office at the time.
I have always been passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and assisting others on their wellness journey. I appreciate the opportunity to work for a company that strives to help individuals realize their well-being potential and to achieve their best quality of life.
My family and our two very spoiled golden retrievers! I like to cook, garden, read and spend time at the beach. I’m also an avid runner.
I’m always finding ways to push my body and learn new fitness skills. That rope we all had in gym class – I can finally climb it!

Rounding up my family and friends to try new adventures with me, learning new skills in nearly anything, and sewing!
I love playing the ukulele but only a select few people know I even know how to play!
I want to help others find their best quality of life. Working with other people on a daily basis gives me purpose, challenges me, and keeps me engaged. I love exploring what health and wellness means to other people while being able to share my knowledge and experiences.
Getting outdoors, exploring and hiking, cooking, reading, gardening, and playing board games with family and friends.
